Interview with Manon Morel – XUK camper

We are always interested in finding out more about the campers we have at our camps and we have interviewed Manon. Manon has been coming to camp for the last 3 years and is excited for summer 2014.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
When I grow up I have two jobs that I would really like to do. I would either like to be an actress/presenter or I would like to work in cardiac and plastic surgery.

What makes you happy?
My friends make me happy because they are fun and we always laugh together. My family because they are always there for me and music because it really lifts my spirit.

If you could be an animal for a day what would you be and why?
I would like to be a snake because they are amazing and watching Steve Backshall on television has taught me so many things. For example, snakes shed their skin but they also have a poison that kills.

AT XUK.

Cookery or water zorbing?
Water zorbing. I remember when I did it for the first time and thought it was such a great activity.

Cheerleading or scuba diving?
I really liked scuba diving as it was a great experience but in my opinion cheerleading is more fun!

Movie night or Wide Game?
Movie night because after a tiring day at camp it is great to have the chance to relax and watch a movie

What is your favourite camp meal?
Jacket potatoes are my favourite meal and I really enjoy the salad that is on offer

In your opinion, what is the best thing about camp?
The best thing about camp is having the chance to speak English again and make friends from different countries. I even learnt some Spanish!

Tell us about your favourite memory from camp
My favourite memory was making new friends and experiencing great, new activities and learning a lot.

If you could be Richard for a day what would you do to XUK?
I would pretend to be a child and join in with all of the activities. I would also create an evening dance party where the girls have to dress up as boys and the boys have to dress up as girls.

Thanks so much Manon- We can’t wait to see you in 2014!

If you would like to see some more information about the activities we do please do have a look at our website.
