Staff at all our camps

Our day and residential camps need the best staff possible to give the children a fantastic time for every minute of their stay with us.

The qualifications we look for are wideranging! We need teachers, managers, lifeguards, swim teachers, sports, art and Drama instructors, outward bound trained staff, nurses and many more! That means there may well be a position in our camps that suit you!!

Our summer UK residential camp is help over July and needs a staff team that is dedicated to the needs of our children day and night! The staff atmosphere here is fantastic but it is hard work!!!

Our day camps in Finchley and Hampstead Garden Suburb, London are held over half terms, Easter and Summer. These periods are run over a normal school day so where the work is intensive you do get to go home each day!!

If you’d like to work for us please look around our site and read more about us. Try to work out what you’d like to do and which camp would suit you best. It’ll help your application if you get the feel for a job you’d like to do before you start filling out the form.

We are looking for fun, energetic, experienced people to work at our camps.

You need to make sure that you:
1. Really do want to work with children
2. Love working hard and in tightly-knit teams
3. Haven’t got any convictions related to children

We have two more interviews before the summer.
1) Sat 9th May 2009
2) Sat 6th June 2009

Interviews are fairly relaxed. They are all done in a group situation and are a lot of fun.

Please send in your application in as soon as possible! We offer jobs to applicants we think appropriate on a first come first served basis, so it’s worth applying to come to the earliest day you can.

Any questions? Please send us an email or call us. Or you may just want to add something to this blog…

Happy job hunting!

I was very lucky to be a staff member of the wonderful Xuk. It was a great opportunity to be part of an amazing team. We all worked very hard during the four weeks last year but we also played very hard too. The children were all happy to be there, because the staff were happy. I learned loads about lots of different activities that i’ve never had the chance to do before, but most of all i met lots of new friends and can’t believe i’m going to spend another amazing summer with them. See you all soon guys for some mad drama games (you know you want to!)

XUK Summer Camp was truely amazing, so much fun had in such a little time. I recommend it to anyone who wants a jam packed summer working with a great bunch of kids and meeting some extraordinary memebers of staff. XUK this year will again be grand, upset that I cant be around for this one.

I have worked at Mini Minors and Cross Keys many times over the past few years, never had the chance to experience XUK, but have heard great things! The day camps are far better run and more organised than others I’ve seen, meaning the staff can do their jobs properly without any unnecessary stresses, and the kids have fun and get involved in plenty of activities, thanks to the good organisation! I too would be very keen to see the start of an Aussie camp!

I worked at Mini Minors and Xkeys for a few years and loved it. I just wish I’d gone on an XUK residential camp as well as everyone who did it, raved about how great it was. Busy, but fun!
Any expansion plans for Down Under?

I worked for XUK in Summer 2007 when I was living in the UK and had an awesome experience, the kids are so cute and I was the dorm leader for the youngest ones, which are often the hardest because they get homesick!! But the staff were awesome and the activities were cool, and the London Trip was the best two days showing the international kids around an awesome city.. I will hopefully be back in Summer 2010 to do it all again!!

I had a boss time at XUK last summer (for those people who aren’t scouse that means awesome), it was a truely amazing experience. I would recommend the camp to anyone who loves working with kids, enjoys meeting new people and is up for a laugh. I am absolutely gutted I won’t be there this summer :-(
