What a great week! We have had many exciting activities including fencing, taekwondo and archery. Our younger campers enjoyed an afternoon of wizarding fun with a Harry Potter Day and made wands, wizard’s hats and cloaks before playing some ‘Quidditch’. (more…)

Laser quest rocks!
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010We’ve had a fantastic time at the amazing laser quest centre near to camp today. There is a paint ball range where the kids shot at targets. Well done Vicktor Gotz who got an amazing score! Our campers also took part in team building games where they had to get each person through a human sized spider web without touching the web! Trickier than it sounds! And across a minefield using planks and boxes! That was all before a game of laser quest in the woods, hiding behind disused tanks and trees. Amazing!
Back from Cambridge, tomorrow London!
Wednesday, August 4th, 2010We’re really clocking up the miles over these next couple of days with our campers at XUK!
Today, the whole camp visited the beautiful city of Cambridge where we saw several of the famous university colleges as well as hitting the shops and enjoying watching delicious fudge being made by hand.
Tomorrow, we have our spectacular London trip where we take in the sights, buy some souvenirs and watch a we st end show! It’s an action packed day in the capital and everyone loves it! For those back at camp, we’ve got taekwondo, quads, outward bounds and drama class so it will be action packed! How can it be half way through week 4 already?? We guess time really does fly when you’re having fun!

Goodbye Week 1 – Hello Week 2!

It’s the end of week 1! We can’t believe how quick times flies when we’re all having such fun!
The week went out in style with our very own XUK Oscars talent show with Mattias juggling and Jimena and Maria on the piano. The fancy dress was brilliant with the Tin Man, Gladiator and the Pirates of the Caribbean all making an appearance and having a boogie at our Saturday night disco. And we can’t forget our citizen of the week – well done Cesar!
So, as we wipe away the tears from our goodbyes with our week 1 campers, we’re on to week 2 in a flash with children arriving today, landing at airports, arriving on the Eurostar or being dropped off with their parents. Everyone’s arrived safe and sound and welcomed into camp life with our XUK initiative games.
This week’s activities include scuba diving, a trip to London to do some sight seeing and see a West End show and go karting, to name just a few. Watch this space for more XUK news!
