Almost “over and out”!

Friday, August 13th, 2010

We’ve just played the last song of our week 5 disco which as always is the Greenday hit, Time of our Lives!  It’s been a bit of a washout in terms of weather today but our campers have still had a fun filled day with cooking, drama, art and archery.  Well done to Lena Aie who won our Citizen of Week 5 – a lovely girl who we wish a safe trip back to France and hope to see her and her brother again soon!  Tomorrow is depart day…..we will need a mountain of Kleenex with all the tearful goodbyes expected!  Can’t we have camp all year round??!

P1070022We’ve just hopped off the bus and are back at camp after our trip to the go-karting track today.  The children showed true skill today combining speed and mental strength, flying around the circuit, burning some rubber!!  Have a look at our pics on Flickr and see if you can see who is hiding under those helmets!

Tomorrow, the whole camp is off to visit the historical market town of Bury St Edmunds and then, on Thursday we’re off to London for some sightseeing and to see a West End show.  We’ll be back blogging on Friday with more pics for you to follow us as we enjoy the rest of our week at XUK!
