What an amazing couple of days at camp!!

Yesterday, we met some of the most weird and wonderful creatures you can ever see include a beautiful meerkat and a smelly skunk!  We got to touch and stroke them, let them run across our legs and learn all about where they live and what they eat.  It was really informative and even a bit creepy when we saw spiders and snakes!!

They think it’s all over….it is now!

We have only just stopped crying long enough to type a message to everyone to say our goodbyes to our online blog for this summer.  It was an amazing last night!  The show and disco were fantastic with plenty of dancing, singing and gunging of leaders!!

Thanks to everyone involved for a wonderful XUK 2010, including all our amazing campers, the stunning staff team, the lovely New Eccles Hall School staff, our brilliant instructors including fencing, taekwondo and archery and even our friendly Galloways coach drivers!  We will miss seeing everyone so much!   It’s only 364 days left until camp starts again, not that we’re counting!!

Almost “over and out”!

Friday, August 13th, 2010

We’ve just played the last song of our week 5 disco which as always is the Greenday hit, Time of our Lives!  It’s been a bit of a washout in terms of weather today but our campers have still had a fun filled day with cooking, drama, art and archery.  Well done to Lena Aie who won our Citizen of Week 5 – a lovely girl who we wish a safe trip back to France and hope to see her and her brother again soon!  Tomorrow is depart day…..we will need a mountain of Kleenex with all the tearful goodbyes expected!  Can’t we have camp all year round??!
