Trips

At XUK English we organise:

• A sightseeing visit each week to either London or Cambridge
• A study trip to a nearby town every other week
• Our Eccles adventure day which takes place every other week

And all included in the price!

Every other week, our sightseeing tour of the capital includes Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and more... In the afternoon, there is time to shop for souvenirs in one of the UK’s premier shopping destinations, or soak up some culture at one of London’s many museums or art galleries.

Every other week, our day trip to Cambridge includes a tour of the famous colleges to learn about the past, present and future of this historical university town. There is time to relax in one of Cambridge’s beautiful parks, or enjoy a punting trip on the River Cam, and go shopping in the open-air market!

The school is close to the traditional market town of Bury St Edmunds and the Victorian seaside resort of Southwold, which is famous for its pier and fish & chips!

Colchester, the ancient Roman capital, where the castle is now home to an interactive museum, is also nearby.

Our closest Town is Ipswich which is one of Englands oldest towns! Ipswich is steeped in history, and full of life. There's a chance to stroll along its historic Waterfront and streets, and plenty of entertainment – a vibrant mix of heritage, the arts, theatre & cinema

Every other week the whole camp visits XUK at Eccles. The group has an opportunity to go on the outward bound course (high ropes. low ropes, climbing wall) as well as ride on a quad bike and go in our rifle shooting range. This culminates in a BBQ, shared with the XUK staff and children.
