Getting to XUK English

As with everything else at XUK English, travelling there is all about giving you as much choice as possible. We offer the following options - please feel free to e-mail or call us on +44 20 8922 9739 should you have any questions.

St Joseph’s College is on the outskirts of Ipswich. There is a fast train linking Ipswich with Central London that takes about one hour and it is a short taxi journey from Ipswich to the school. For those driving directly to the school, Ipswich is just off the A12 road from London.

A popular way of getting to us is to join our Finchley Coach Service. If you are travelling from London all you have to do is get to Christ’s College School at 14:45 in Finchley, North London and we’ll take over from there.

This is a great way to make friends on the way up to XUK English, and for parents to meet some of our staff before the coach leaves.

They arrive back in Finchley at 13:00 on their final day.

Once you have arranged your child’s plane ticket let us know all the details and we’ll meet them at the arrival gate. After camp we’ll take them through check in and to the departure gate on their way back home.

It is vital to make sure we have all the correct details and we will be confirming them with you before you put your child on a plane or train. We can collect from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or Luton.

Airport arrivals (Luton, Heathrow, Stansted (BEST OPTION) or Gatwick) should be between 12:00 and 14:00. Departure flights should leave between 14:00 & 16:00 (we check in 2-3 hrs before this time).

We leave plenty of time to allow for traffic, check in and airport regulations so although there is some waiting (with our staff) especially for departures, we know you'd prefer it this way round! As with other aspects of caring for your children we are always as safe as we can be.

If booking the Eurostar coming into St Pancras, the trains should...

Arrive at St Pancras at:
12:30 (from Paris).
14:03 (from Brussels)

Depart from St Pancras at:
12:24 (to Paris)
12:57 (to Brussels)

on the correct day of departure.
