If you’d like to work for us please look around our site and
read about our day and residential
camps.
Try to work out what you’d like to do and which camp would suit
you best. It’ll help your application if you get the feel for
a job you’d like to do before you start filling out the form.
We are looking for fun, energetic, experienced people to work
at our day and residential camps and swimming club.
You need to make sure that you:
1. Really do want to work with children
2. Love working hard and in tightly-knit teams
3. Haven't got any convictions related to children
The following video is a glimpse of our 2011 XUK residential
staff & their life this summer. This video was produced
and directed by Giles Gough at Dask
Films.
This video is our 2010 version and the first staff video Dask
films had made for us...
Bear in mind that we're particularly keen on teachers, student
teachers, TEFL/CELTA teachers, lifeguards, swim teachers, qualified
first aiders and other relevant qualifications.
Please send in your application (to appear here) in as soon as
possible! We offer jobs to applicants we think appropriate on
a first come first served basis, so it's worth applying to come
to the earliest day you can.
THE INTERVIEW
We hold four group interviews in London before the summer.
Interview 1:
Sat 18th February 2012 (13:30)
Interview 2:
Sat 10th March 2012 (13:30)
Interview 3:
Sat 12th May 2012 (13:30)
Interview 4:
Sat 9th June 2012 (13:30)
Interviews are fairly relaxed. They are all done in a group situation
and are a lot of fun. You can dress casually. Just expect and
prepare as you would do for a first day at camp. We will have
'get to know you games', put you in 'camp scenarios' and expect
you to ask lots of questions! If you're applying for a specialist
role such as management or Language teacher we will expect you
to take part but will also spend time with you to discuss the
role in more detail.
MONEY
Finally, please be aware that you'll earn more the longer you
work with us. For example, if you work at Easter, you may even
get a pay rise before the summer holidays start!
Weekly wages range from £160 to £300 at our day camps and £175
to £275 at the residential camp (where we also provide three meals
a day, option of travel to and from camp and accommodation for
four weeks). Please note that specialist staff such as Managers
and Language teachers can expect to be paid at, or above, the
top end of the above range.
This must be printed out and posted back to us on the address
on the form. Good luck and hope to see you at our next interview...
In the meantime, for a bit of fun, please enjoy our XUK residential
staff dance from week 1 of our 2010 camp. For those amongst us
who are more camera shy there are always jobs behind the scenes!
